The Bondi to Bronte is one of Sydney’s and Australia’s most iconic ocean swims. Starting at Bondi Beach, swimmers finish their journey at Bronte SLSC, the world’s first Surf Life Saving club.
We had some great new additions to the program for 2016 and received a record 2300+ swimmers – what a day!

The course traditionally starts in front of Bondi Pavilion, runs out from Bondi, around Mackenzie’s Point and down the coast into Bronte Beach, a distance of 2.1 – 2.4km (depending on the positioning of the buoy off McKenzie’s point).
In 2016, the Bay Swim moved to Bondi Beach and was a hit!
This event is the ideal stepping stone to the longer B2B event and a great addition for seasoned swimmers wanting to push their limits and complete two distances.
The course starts and finishes in the same location on Bondi Beach, so all swimmers can have their family and friends to cheer them on and celebrate with them at the finish.
Maxi Course 800m: U11-U13 | Mini Course 400m: U9-U10 & a combined U11-U13’s
This year the Banana Boat Junior Ocean Swims will return to their traditional home at Bronte Beach.
Both courses start and finish in the same location, ion front of the Bronte SLSC, so all swimmers can have their family and friends nearby to cheer them on and celebrate with them at the finish.

The Major Prize includes return flights, accommodation and swim entries into any distances.
