It’s just more fun in a team!
If you and some mates want free Mooloolaba Mile entries year after year, here’s your chance.
Our new ‘4wesome Teams Challenge’ allows you to swim the Mooloolaba Mile as an individual (from any wave group), but compete as a team – the fastest combined time wins (all four swimmers).
To enter your 4wesome Team in the Mooloolaba Mile, each member needs to write the same Team Name on their online entry form.
2.5km Alex Headland to Mooloolaba Ocean Swim
This is a classic point-to-point ocean swim, from Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba Beach (A2M).
The distance, 2.5km, is our long course challenge for the weekend and follows a challenging section of coastline.
The course starts at Alex Beach and follows the headland around to Mooloolaba Beach, finishing in front of the famous Loo-with-a-view.
The 2.5km start is located at Alex Headland Beach, in front of the Surf Club. Please check-in at the Mooloolaba Beach Event Site before catching our shuttle buses to Alex Headland
Mooloolaba Mile (1.6km)
This is the big one. One Mile (1.6km) is the most popular open water distance around the globe for a reason – it’s well within reach for beginners and a great time trial for experienced swimmers.
Beginning at Mooloolaba’s South-Eastern end (The Spit), the One Mile course (1.6km) follows an M shaped path north towards the finish line. The first turn is located directly out from the start near the Mooloolah river mouth. Midway, the course brings swimmers back towards the breakers then out again to the final turn.
We’re bringing back a favourite!
The Mooloolaba 3.0 is a long course bay swim, starting and finishing in the same location at Mooloolaba Beach.
Mooloolaba Half Mile (800m)
From juniors testing themselves in the open water to groups of friends battling it out for bragging rights, the Mooloolaba Half Mile (800m) can be achieved with limited training and is loads of fun!
You’ll join the Mooloolaba Mile course at the halfway mark and round the final turn before hitting the sand for a sprint to the finish.
Junior Giants (300m)
The Junior Giants events are a great opportunity for kids aged 8 – 16 years to compete with other swimmers their own age.
We also encourage family and friends to share the experience and swim the course alongside the kids in the 300m Dash.
All World Series Swims will have some great prizes up for grabs from our partners and elite swimmers will also have the opportunity to compete for cash prizes in nominated events, see below.
