BRING ON 2021!

Hey Swimmers,

We have all been hoping for a speedy recovery from this covid crisis, but we now know it’s a very slow process for every nation. 

While many pools and beaches in Australia have re-opened, local authorities still cannot provide any certainty around a new date for Swim the Gold Coast.  We do not want to continue planning if we cannot provide 100% certainty for all entrants who are preparing.

For that reason, we have now made the decision to cancel the 2020 event and set our sights on 2021, below is a quick preview of what's to come.

2021 Swim the Gold Coast | Marathon Swim

Pre-sales only lasted 48 hours when we launched in October 2019, but this time there is no pre-registration period – it’s first in, first served when entries open for 2021.

  • 2021 entries will open on October 6th
  • There is no pre-registration period for 2021 – entries will be on sale until each category is sold out
  • 2021 Event Date: Saturday May 29
  • Support Boat rules have been relaxed to allow more Surf Club IRBs to be used
**Every swimmer who entered for 2020 has been sent an email with entry options for 2021, including deferrals and refunds.
