What a weekend!

Hey gang,

Well what a weekend, conditions at Mooloolaba were perfect, in and out of the water! Congratulations on your achievements, no matter which distance you conquered.

The sand build up on the beach and rivermouth, combined with a low tide meant we didn't have as much space to work with for our courses this year, so our 3.0km & 5.0km courses did fall short unfortunately. We stretched these as far as we could, but next year we may have to look at alternative start locations to get the full distances in, if we have similar conditions.

Next stop, the Cooly Classic on April 10! We're now less than two weeks out, so it's a short turn-around between events this year.

Late entry fees begin on Monday April 4th, so get your entry in this week to save a few bucks and secure a 2022 t-shirt!

2022 Cooly Classic | April 10

It’s official, the Cooly Classic course is a dead set stunner! Well, it’s official in our eyes and we know that after swimming it, you’ll agree.

There are four distances, from 1km to 5km, but it’s always the 2.0km Cooly Classic from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach which attracts the masses.

Your Start line, Snapper Rocks, is one of the world’s most famous surf breaks. Then, your course is a straight line to Kirra Beach, passing Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Coolangatta Beaches as you swim.

Regardless of which distance you choose, you’re guaranteed to experience the crystal clear waters of Southern Gold Coast in autumn and that’s a must-do for any swimmer.
