This Weekend on the Sunshine Coast...

The Mooloolaba Swim Festival, Presented by Sunshine Coast Daily, is almost here - only 3 more sleeps! 

Cyclone Oma produced some crazy conditions last week, but fortunately the seas have settled and Mooloolaba Beach re-opened to the public yesterday. Take a look at conditions right now on the Surf Cam at:

The Mooloolaba Mile, this Sunday, is always popular and attracts a big crowd of social swimmers.  The 1.6km distance, isn't too scary!

On Saturday we have the new 2.5km Alex to Mooloolaba Ocean Swim and an Outdoor Cinema for families in the evening - it's worth a day trip even if you aren't swimming.

Your entry fee includes: Event T-shirt or Mesh Cap (conditions apply), Engine swim cap, free Yoga sessions (Sat & Sun), fresh fruit (finish line), digital timing with live online results.

The New A2M Swim

This is a classic point-to-point ocean swim, from Alexandra Headland to Mooloolaba Beach (A2M).

The course starts at Alex Surf Club and follows the headland around to Mooloolaba Beach, finishing in front of the famous Loo-with-a-view.

Moo Mile + Short Courses

One Mile (1.6km) is the most popular open water distance around the globe for a reason – it’s well within reach for beginners and a great time trial for experienced swimmers.

On March 3rd, we also have a Half Mile short course and 300m Junior Giants event for ages 8-16 years.

We have Sunrise Yoga on both days (06:30 on Mlba Beach) and an Outdoor Cinema night in Charles Clark Park on the river from 6:30pm Saturday.
