BRING ON 2021

Hey Gang!

Well what an absolute rollercoaster 2020 is turning out to be. Fortunately, ocean swims are one event category that can adapt to operate in the 'new normal', so, we can finally get excited about 2021!

All event entries are set to open in October, but first up is SWIM THE GOLD COAST.

Pre-sales only lasted 48 hours when we launched in October 2019, but this time there is no pre-registration period – it’s first in, first served when entries open on Sept 15.

2021 Swim the Gold Coast | Marathon Swim

The course spans the length of the Gold Coast, from Coolangatta Beach in the South, to the iconic cityscape of Surfers Paradise in the North (21.5km). 

We don’t have many spots up for grabs in 2021 (most 2020 swimmers have rolled over their entry), but we’re stoked that we can accommodate some of you who missed out in 2020.

When entries open on Tuesday Sept 15 we have:

  • Solo: 55 spots available
  • Duo Teams: 40 spots available
  • Teams of Four: 35 spots available

2021 Features:

  • 2021 Event Date: Saturday May 29
  • Entry options: Solo, Duo Teams and Teams of Four.
  • Surf Club IRBs approved as Support Boats for Solo swimmers AND Duo Teams
  • Solo qualification rules relaxed to allow club and squad events
