The Bondi to Bronte is one of Sydney’s and Australia’s most iconic ocean swims. Traditionally starting at Bondi Beach, swimmers finish their journey at Bronte SLSC, the world’s first Surf Life Saving Club.
Official website and entries:
The course traditionally starts in front of Bondi Pavilion, runs out from Bondi, around Mackenzie’s Point and down the coast into Bronte Beach, a distance of 2.1 – 2.4km (depending on the positioning of the buoy off McKenzie’s point).
A great hit out on Bondi Beach this event is the ideal stepping stone to the longer B2B event and a great addition for seasoned swimmers wanting to push their limits and complete two distances.
The course starts and finishes in the same location on Bondi Beach, so all swimmers can have their family and friends to cheer them on and celebrate with them at the finish.
Maxi Course 800m: U11-U13 | Mini Course 400m: U9-U10 & a combined U11-U13’s
The Banana Boat Junior Ocean Swims will be held at their traditional home at Bronte Beach.
Both courses start and finish in the same location, in front of the Bronte SLSC, so all swimmers can have their family and friends nearby to cheer them on and celebrate with them at the finish.
With a capped number of only 100 swimmers this is a very limited opportunity to participate in the very first 5km* Bondi to Bronte to Bondi course.
An epic coastal swim commencing out through the breaking waves at Bondi Beach, initially heading north to a turning buoy at Ben Buckler headland. You will then turn south to swim down the coast to Bronte past the famed Bronte Reef before turning north to head back up the coast and return to the sand through the break at Bondi.
Thinking of entering? make sure you meet the entry criteria before you submit your entry.
