Gold Coast Swim Week

April 22 – 29, 2023 | Gold Coast, QLD

Gold Coast Swim Week is a seven day celebration of swimming at one of mother natures greatest aquatic playgrounds.

In 2023, the Cooly Classic and Swim the Gold Coast will be run on consecutive weekends to create ‘Gold Coast Swim Week’ – a seven day celebration of swimming.

The festival begins with the 14th annual Cooly Classic, the Gold Coast’s premier ocean swim.

Your Start line, Snapper Rocks, is one of the world’s most famous surf breaks. Then, your course is a straight line to Kirra Beach, passing Rainbow Bay, Greenmount and Coolangatta Beaches as you swim.

There are four distances, from 1km to 5km, but it’s always the 2.0km Cooly Classic from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach which attracts the masses.

Then on the following weekend, April 29, Swim the Gold Coast, a 21.5km marathon swim for teams and individuals.

The 21.5km course spans the length of the Gold Coast, from the stunning beaches of the Southern Gold Coast, to the towering cityscape of Surfers Paradise.

The course follows the famous Gold Coast coastline from start to finish, so there are plenty of landmarks to track your progress as you swim.
