Entries for all Swim the Gold Coast and Cooly Classic events are NOW OPEN!
The 14th annual Cooly Classic will open the program on April 30 with swims from 1.0km to 5.0km.
On the following weekend, May 6th, Swim the Gold Coast. There are a bunch of new additions for 2023 so take a look below and on our website for the latest updates.
This Summer we have some fresh, World Series Swims merchandise for sale when you enter, so just add it to your entry and we'll have it waiting for you on event day. We also have Engine goggles available and these orders will be sent out weekly.
Entries for our clinics and small group sessions will open soon, so keep an eye on our social media accounts and website for updates.

The Cooly Classic | Apr 30
It’s official, the Cooly Classic course is a dead set stunner!
There are four distances, from 1km to 5km, but it’s always the 2.0km Cooly Classic from Snapper Rocks to Kirra Beach which attracts the masses.

Swim the Gold Coast | May 06
The 2023 event has a host of new additions, to provide swimmers with more options and also contingencies in the event of extreme weather, including: - 21km Start Area moves to Kirra Beach
- 21km Wave Starts begin at 730am to allow more time for Support Boats to travel / assemble
- A new 10km course has been added – a support paddler is mandatory, but no motorised boat is required
- A stand-by day (May 07) has been added to the program which all swimmers must consider in travel plans
There are also no credits and deferrals from previous years, so the full complement of entries will be available for all events when entries open later on October 20.

Festival Events
Gold Coast Swim Week includes daily sessions for smaller groups, where swimmers can learn from elite coaches at pool clinics and join in with local swim squads at multiple beaches along the Gold Coast.
Freestyle Masterclass Clinic
Hosted by Michael Klim and special guests, the Masterclass Clinics are an opportunity to receive specialist coaching from elite coaches and former Olympic level swimmers. These clinics are open to pool, open water, master swimmers and triathletes of all levels.

Support Boats & Paddlers
Our 10km & 21km swimmers will need support from boat owners, paddlers and local Surf Clubs with IRB's.
If you or your Surf Club are interested in fundraising, sign up to provide support and we'll connect you with our swimmers.
