Noosa 3.0 (Long Course)

If you’re looking for a new challenge or a longer distance, make the 3.0km course your next training goal.

All swimmers are able to choose their own wave start group, so find a training partner or friend and take up the challenge together.

Noosa 2.0 (Long Course)

The Noosa 2.0km is the most popular event on the program.

The course takes you out and back from Noosa Main Beach towards the Noosa National Park.  For those taking on their first long course event, there is an option to start with friends and other weekend warriors in the Mates Wave.

Noosa 1.0 (Short Course)

The calm, sheltered waters of Noosa are excellent for all abilities, so this short course is an ideal stepping stone for longer distances, or to conquer your first open water event.

Junior Giants (300m & 1.0km)

The Junior Giants events are a great opportunity for kids aged 8 – 16 years to compete with other swimmers their own age.

We have two distances to choose from:

  • 300m Junior Dash (8 – 16 yrs)
  • 1000m Junior Long Course (10 – 16 yrs)

We also encourage family and friends to share the experience and swim the course alongside the kids in the 300m Dash.

5.0km Noosa Grand Prix

This is the big one, a 5.0km marathon distance swim.

In 2017, the new 5.0km Noosa Grand Prix was contested by some of Australia’s most talented pool and open water swimmers, as well as some international guests.  Jessica Ashwood (AUS) and Yasunari Hirai (JPN) were the winners of the inaugural Noosa Grand Prix in 2017.

The multi-lap course around the sheltered waters of Noosa Main Beach is the perfect opportunity to push your limits beyond the typical open water distances.

In 2018 the field will be limited to just 200 swimmers – get in quick when entries open!

1.5km Social Swim

This is one ‘hot lap’ of the Grand Prix course and is a chance to swim a different course format from Saturday’s events.

It’s relaxed, social and only as competitive as you want it to be!

There are no prizes or presentations for the Social Swim, but full results will be displayed online, live throughout the event.

Hoping to swim with fins or another swimming aid?  This is the event for you – you’ll start in the last wave start group.
